Hearing Care at Sask Optics
At Sask Optics, we believe looking after your hearing deserves the same personal attention as looking after your eyes. Through our collaboration with The Hearing Care Partnership (THCP), we bring professional hearing care into the familiar surroundings of our practice, with advice centred on your individual needs. From complimentary hearing assessments to hearing aids, earwax removal, tinnitus support and bespoke hearing protection, a qualified audiologist can help you explore your options. Whether you have noticed a change or simply want reassurance, we are here to help you take the next step.
COMPLIMENTARY
Free Hearing Assessments
Finding conversations harder to follow or turning the television up more often? A complimentary hearing assessment at Sask Optics can help you understand what has changed. Provided through The Hearing Care Partnership, your appointment includes a discussion about your concerns, an ear health check and hearing tests suited to your needs.
Earwax plays an important role in protecting your ears, but a build-up can leave them feeling blocked or make sounds seem muffled.
At Sask Optics, our earwax removal service through The Hearing Care Partnership offers professional care to assess the blockage and determine whether removal isappropriate.
CUSTOM-BUILT
Bespoke Hearing Protection
Whether you enjoy live music, ride a motorbike or work in noisy surroundings, suitable hearing protection can help reduce your exposure to damaging sound. Through The Hearing Care Partnership at Sask Optics, you can receive advice on protection chosen around your activities, listening needs andcomfort.
For custom-made options, your audiologist will check your ears before taking impressions to create an individual fit. Alongside noise protection, options include specialist earplugs for swimming and sleeping, helping you find a solution designed for the way you will use it.
SPECIALIST
Tinnitus Consultations
Ringing, buzzing or hissing without an external sound source can be unsettling, particularly when it interrupts sleep or concentration. A complimentary tinnitus consultation through The Hearing Care Partnership at Sask Optics gives you the opportunity to discuss your experience with an audiologist who will listen to your concerns and assess your hearing and earhealth.
Although there is currently no cure for tinnitus, there are approaches that can help make it more manageable. Your audiologist will explain suitable options, which may include sound enrichment, practical coping strategies or hearing aids where hearing loss is also present, and recommend further support where appropriate.
